Happy Hour Sports feels that you should be challenged not only on the field but at the bar as well. As a result, all Happy Hour Sports programs have an affiliated bar sports program. Happy Hour Sports wants to ensure that if you can’t attain glory on the playing field, you have the opportunity to do so at the bar! Those sports and those rules are detailed below.
Flip Cup is the official beer game of Happy Hour Sports oldest sport, Happy Hour Kickball. Every week, following that week’s games, teams will face off in an NCAA style tournament to determine each week's Team Flip Cup Champion, all the while gaining points towards being crowned the season's Flip Cup Champion and gaining the honor to hoist the coveted Flip Cup Championship Trophy. Points are given out to the top 3 finishing teams each week.
Survivor Flip Cup
Survivor Flip Cup is the younger sibling of Flip Cup. Every week following the team flip cup tournament two sets of tables (as needed) will be set up to allow for as many flip cuppers as possible to achieve individual glory while still scoring points for their team. Survivor Flip Cup works much like team flip cup however everyone is facing off against everyone else. Each round will commence with everyone getting in position, cups raised, once the word comes all players will drink and flip simultaneously with the two people finishing last at each set of tables being eliminated. Double elimination will continue until the final 10 is reached at which point it is switched to single elimination. Once down to the final two players, the HHKB Board of Champions is brought out where the final two will face off trying to flip onto a 2X4, first player to convert their flip is that week's sole Survivor and is rewarded by signing the back side of the Board. At season's end one sole Survivor will be crowned as the Champ and be given the coveted Survivor Flip Cup Championship Trophy. Points are given out each week for the top 5 finishers.
You Got Served!
You Got Served! is the official beer game of Happy Hour Softball. Every week, following that week’s games, teams will face off in an NCAA style tournament to determine each week's Team You Got Served! Champion, all the while gaining points towards being crowned the season's You Got Served! Champion and gaining the honor to hoist the coveted You Got Served! Championship Trophy. Teams of 4 players face off against each other by taking turns bouncing a quarter into a shot glass after drinking a small amount of beer. This continues until one team bangs in all of their quarters first!
Survivor You Got Served!
Survivor You Got Served! came into being when it was determined that individuals need to shine as well. Every week following Team You Got Served! 4 shot glasses are set up on the bar with two members of each team spreading themselves around a shot glass of their choice. Each game starts with all players around each glass cheersing their beer, drinking said beer and then attempting to bounce their quarter into their shot glass. This continues until there are only 4 players left to compete at the final shot glass. The fifth place player is determined by the fifth and sixth players eliminated facing off to determine who gets that week’s points for fifth. The top 4 then face off until there is one sole survivor. At season's end one sole Survivor will be crowned as the Champ and be given the coveted Survivor Flip Cup Championship Trophy. Points are given out each week for the top 5 finishers.
Beer Pong is the official beer game of Happy Hour Cornhole. Every week either before or after that week’s matches teams will face off in an NCAA style tournament to determine each week's Beer Pong Champion, all the while gaining points towards being crowned the season's Beer Pong Champion and gaining the honor to hoist the coveted Beer Pong Championship Trophy. Teams of 2 players face off against each other by taking shooting pong balls at your standard 6 cup triangle at each end of the table. The first team to knock all 6 cups out of the game wins that round and plays the next team in their bracket. Points are given out to the top 3 finishing teams each week.
Survivor Beer Pong
Survivor Beer Pong is something that plain and simple we have made up on the fly. Every week following team beer pong we will set up 3 – 4 tables with 6 cups in the form of a triangle on either end of each table. Then all interested players will set up on one side of the table in a line and each take a turn throwing a pong ball at the triangle. If your shot goes in you move to the other side of the table, take the drink, refill it and put it back. Each player in line will get a shot at the triangle in round 1. If you are successful on your shot, you will stay in the game, if you are not, you head to the back of the line with the rest of the players who missed. Once every player has taken their first shot the round ends. If more than two people are remaining, the game resumes until only two players are left and they are eliminated. Note, every player left at each table will receive the same amount of shots as the people in their line per round. This system continues until each table only has two people left. The game then continues in the same fashion dropping down to the final 8, then the final 5 when points are given out. Top 5 finishers receive points each week and the winner gets one point for their team’s overall Beer Pong standings.
